BIFM launches new online course

The BIFM Academy has launched its first online training course ‘Introduction to Facilities Management’ designed to help those who are just moving into or embarking on their first management role in facilities management, acquire much needed knowledge and skills.

Continuing BIFM’s commitment to advancing the facilities management profession, the ‘Introduction to Facilities Management’ online course is also a perfect refresher for experienced FMs looking to reinforce existing knowledge of best practice.

The course covers key skills highlighted by employers as needed in the FM sector and also complements the new Facilities Management Supervisor apprenticeship standard (level 3).  The programme is aligned to the FM Professional Facilities Management Standards. The content covers:

•    the context of FM
•    managing FM performance
•    managing a team
•    compliance
•    understanding your customers and
•    how to develop and progress within an FM career

Written by an industry expert it offers interactive learning, real life documents, profiling, case studies and regular reflection points.  This solution provides a flexible learning opportunity that fits around your lifestyle.

Upon finishing the course, you will receive a certificate of completion which can contribute to your Continuing Professional Development record.

The course is available to individuals (both members and non-members) as well as corporate groups on request.

This new addition to BIFM’s education offering serves to further BIFM as the global professional development partner of choice and is the first of a suite of on-line courses being released through the remainder of 2017 and into 2018.
