Olympic Torch will be present at The Arena Lecture

Thanks to Coca Cola, Arena has secured a unique opportunity to have present on the evening of The Arena Lecture a London 2012 Olympic Torch.

The Arena Lecture – Catering for the 2012 Games: Myths, Legends & Legacies – on Tuesday 20 March 2012 at The Savoy, London, will be presented by Jan Matthews, Head of Catering, Cleaning and Waste Services for the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG), and will now also feature the iconic torch.

In the year of the 2012 Games, the lecture topic is incredibly relevant and exciting.  Jan, the person ultimately responsible for delivering the complete catering package for the Games, will address her industry colleagues and give her take on the hospitality and catering journey so far, the challenges still be faced, and the legacy that she hopes to leave.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be able to announce that thanks to Coca Cola, we have secured a unique opportunity to have present on the evening of The Arena Lecture a London 2012 Olympic Torch.  The 2012 Games naturally generates interest across the board and as a result our speaker, Jan Matthews, and the subject of catering for the Games have already created a lot of excitement.  Now that we can promise our guests the unexpected chance to see an Olympic Torch up close, this excitement is sure to escalate!”

The event starts at 6pm with Jan’s formal lecture presentation, followed by a drinks reception and exquisite three-course dinner designed to facilitate first-rate networking opportunities.

Tickets cost £195 plus VAT for Arena members and £245 plus VAT for non members.  Tables of ten are available at £1800 plus VAT.
