Free Asbestos training from ClearView

ClearView Safety, the Towcester based provider of safety services and training, are to offer another half day free training course to manage the dangers of working in premises containing asbestos after two previous courses proved such a hit.

The free training, with 25 delegates attending from 15 different companies, was part of a national drive promoted by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the United Kingdom Asbestos Training Association (UKATA). Now another training session has been arranged at ClearView Safety’s Pury Hill Business Park headquarters on 23rd January.

The content of the course will include basic management principles and practices to health and safety issues, recognising the risks present in the workplace, and taking account of risks posed by human factors.

Among the comments received by ClearView Safety after the first sessions were: “The course content was comprehensive, easily understood and invaluable whether you are in an industry linked to the building trade or a home-owner. This was one of the best presented courses I have attended in ages” and “I found it succinct with just the right level of information.”
Liz Cunnington, Sales and Marketing Manager for ClearView Safety, said: “The official scheme may have ended but we are delighted to be able to offer this again to meet demand. It was a particularly worthwhile initiative by the HSE and UKATA to help improve knowledge of what has been dubbed the ‘silent killer’.

“It is not often that businesses are offered something for nothing but we believe these courses give people vital information to improve safety when working in premises that may contain asbestos.”

Companies wishing to book should call 0844 335 0758. There are 15 places available and they are limited to two per company.
