Amey wins East Sussex County Council TFM contract

Leading public services provider Amey has announced the win of a £7.5million total facilities management contract with East Sussex County Council. Amey will be providing cleaning, security, catering and grounds maintenance services to 60 sites initially and a courier service for over 200 buildings including libraries, schools, prisons and offices.

The five-year contract for the County Council, which starts on the 1st July, also consists of maintenance and repairs, housekeeping, mail and reception duties and includes services to partnering local authorities such as Wealden District Council. To maximise efficiencies, Amey will use a network of mobile, multi skilled FM professionals, who will be able to carry out the full range of FM services required, from the closest possible location to the Authorities offices.

Mel Ewell, Chief Executive of Amey, said: “We are pleased to be working with East Sussex County Council on this key facilities management contract; Amey has worked with East Sussex council to devise an innovative approach that will deliver both an enhanced service as well as cost savings throughout the contract.”

Following the initial five-year period, the contract could be extended for a further four years until 2021.
