Workplace Law MD in 1,000 mile cycle challenge

Workplace Law Managing Director, David Sharp, is hoping to emulate the success of Bradley Wiggins – minus the sideburns – by cycling from Lands’ End to John O’ Groats this month. Along with school teacher, David Bickley, the pair are seeking to raise £2,500 for two small charities by cycling the 1,050 mile route unsupported over the course of 14 days.

Sponsorship has already flowed in from family, friends and colleagues, with a number of facilities management clients and partners digging deep to support the venture. MD David is raising money for Workplace Law’s chosen charity, Exhall Grange Specialist School and Science College, a cause close to his heart.

David said: “Exhall Grange does a brilliant job in giving disabled children the best start, providing both them and their parents with support and inspiration to make the most of the opportunities life affords. They do a great job, and without access to mainstream charity funding, they can do with every penny they can get.”

The journey, commonly known as ‘LEJOG’, starts in Land’s End on Thursday 26 July, ending at John O’ Groats on 9 August. The ride is not without its challenges, as Sharp explains:

The two Davids will be updating their blogsite www.facebook.com/BickersandSharpieBikeBritain throughout the ride.

Donations to Exhall Grange can be made online at https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/bickersandsharpiebikebritain.
