Evac+Chair International, the UK’s leading manufacturer of emergency escape equipment, has announced that its international exports are increasing year on year despite a struggling European economy.
The business has consistently reported annual double-digit percentage growth since 2010, with the first quarter of 2012 also seeing a positive increase of 11%. Since 2000, Evac+Chair International has seen its international exports double.
Paul Colder, Head of Marketing for Evac+Chair International, said: “The USA, the Middle East and Japan are strong markets for the company and even within a weakened Eurozone, European exports have remained positive. Recent orders have included supplying the local authority in Verona, Italy, and a number of new clients in Spain.”
Paul added: “These figures reassuringly demonstrate that whilst organisations strive to cut costs elsewhere, the safe evacuation of the mobility-impaired from buildings remains a priority.”
Evac+Chair has distribution networks in over 35 countries and was recently selected among other well-known UK manufacturers such as Rolls Royce and Jaguar Land Rover to exhibit their products at “Make it in Great Britain”, a showcase to highlight the very best of British manufacturing being held during the Olympics.
