BIFM Awards see record number of entries
Published on 13/09/2012
Last week saw the ‘Facilities Manager of the Year’ category closing - signalling the close of all entries in the BIFM Awards for another year. Without doubt, 2012 looks set to be very competitive, with the total number of entries received across 11 categories up by 50%, accounting for the highest number of entrants ever received in the history of the BIFM Awards.
Oliver Jones, Chairman of the Judges, commented: "The number of entries received across all 11 BIFM Awards categories has been extraordinary. We set out to raise the bar and make the BIFM Awards the benchmark for excellence a few years ago, and with entries up over 50% this year - from the very best organisations, large and small in FM and from potential Facilities Managers of the Year - this has now definitely been achieved. To be ranked as a finalist will be notable and to win will require exceptional evidence of capability, innovation and market leadership - therefore the Awards evening promises to be an exciting one with many close results expected. Thank you to all who have entered and good luck on the night!".
Currently over 65 judges are visiting and assessing various candidates from across the UK as they search for excellence in FM to showcase at, and beyond, the BIFM Awards ceremony on 8th October 2012.
The finalists will be announced in early September and the eyes of the FM industry will be focussed on the BIFM Awards ceremony in London on 8th October when the winners are announced.
