The Southbank and ISS achieve BSI ISO 55001

The Southbank Centre has been awarded the BSI ISO55001 accreditation for Asset Management, one of the first businesses to have secured the accreditation in the UK.

ISS has worked in close partnership with the Centre to secure the accreditation, having provided technical services to the 21 acre site set alongside the River Thames in London since 2011.

“Working through the accreditation was a tremendous amount of work but a great opportunity to assess, review and create a robust system to ensure the Southbank Centre’s assets are being managed effectively. “We are pleased with the success and grateful to ISS who have worked in partnership with us throughout the journey”, said Hilton Wells, Head of Technical Services for the Southbank Centre.

The certification supports the Southbank Centre’s status as a leading Arts venue, promoting best practice and sustainability across its operations.

Gary Kidd, Chief Operating Officer for the ISS Private Sector business area said: “Achieving the ISO 55001 standard for Asset Management is a great accomplishment for both ISS and the Southbank Centre.  “It was a rigorous process and the accreditation is testament to the team and the hard work and dedication they have given to the project. Kidd concluded, “ISS is always looking to continuously improve, supporting our customer and their business objectives. This standard is evidence of that ongoing journey as we deliver assurance and best practice to our customers.”
