Mitie awarded a place on CCS G-Cloud agreement

Mitie has been awarded a Crown Commercial Service (CCS) contract under a scheme that acts on behalf of the Crown to drive savings for the taxpayer and improve the quality of commercial and procurement activity. Its procurement arrangements can be used by central government departments and organisations across the public sector including local government, health, education, not-for-profit and devolved administrations.

Following a competitive tender process Mitie’s Total Security Management business was awarded the place on the G-Cloud digital marketplace agreement for the supply of lone worker protection, DBS/Criminality checks, employee vetting, and its compliance and competence management system – Validate.

The CCS goal is to become the “go-to” place for expert commercial and procurement services. With both service delivery and advisory capability, services include contract management and supplier performance management to ensure that the Government acts as a true, single customer; freeing up individual organisations to focus their procurement expertise on what is unique to them.

Jason Towse, Managing Director of People Services at Mitie’s Total Security Management business said: “We are delighted to have been awarded the Crown Commercial Service Contract and are looking forward to seeing our work with CCS evolve. With significant experience in delivering highly skilled personnel in this sector and an understanding of the requirements needed to deliver the specialist services, we will be focused on driving efficiencies and enhancing quality of service for the taxpayer.”
