Scottish growth for BaxterStorey

Published on 08/02/2014
BaxterStorey, the UK’s leading independent provider of workplace restaurants, delis and coffee bars, has revealed a turnover growth of 55% for the Scotland region during 2013.
With a significant focus on expanding its regional foothold, BaxterStorey in Scotland has won seven new contracts and employed 360 new members of staff throughout 2013. As a result of this success, BaxterStorey is now providing its high quality fresh and seasonal food offering to new clients including Halliburton in Aberdeen, Vascutek near Glasgow and the Scottish Courts National Group.
BaxterStorey is committed to supporting Scottish suppliers by using locally-sourced produce that has travelled as few food miles as possible. With this in mind, the caterer’s chefs use free range Scottish eggs from a Fife creamery, bacon from Perthshire farms, white fish from Peterhead market and salmon from Shetland breeders.
Jeremy Wood, Regional Managing Director for BaxterStorey in the North and Scotland, said: “We’re absolutely delighted with our success in Scotland; the company really is going from strength-to-strength.
“As an organisation we’re committed to supplying our customers with the highest quality meals using the best in fresh ingredients sourced locally where possible. In Scotland this means working with great suppliers like George Campbell & Sons and Farmlay Farms. We put a lot of time and care into developing creative and innovative menus that are competitively priced against the high street and respond quickly to changes in food and drink trends. All of this combined with our dedicated team of staff and significant investment in training is proving a real recipe for success.”
