Interserve Lands Crown Paints Contract

Crown Paints Limited has awarded a mechanical and electrical maintenance contract to international support services group Interserve.

The contract will see Interserve deliver mechanical and electrical services to 131 Crown Decorator Centres, the Crown Paints’ head office, in Darwen, Lancashire, and two production facilities. Interserve already supplies cleaning services at Crown Paints’ HQ and additional work is anticipated.

The services will be delivered across the country by Interserve’s Mobile & Technical Services engineering team and specialist supply chain partners. Services include maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment as well as water treatment services, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and grounds maintenance.

Phil Lang, Estates & Facilities Manager, Crown Paints Limited, said: “As part of our continuing efforts to improve service, standards and efficiency we’re delighted to be partnering with Interserve to deliver maintenance services across our estate.

“Interserve’s integrity and experience helps strengthen our drive for excellency and I very much look forward to building a long-term partnership with the team.”

Steve Kennaugh, National Operations Manager, Interserve, said: “I am delighted that Crown Paints has chosen to award this contract to Interserve. This contract award illustrates our ability to deliver UK wide solutions to complex mechanical and electrical maintenance issues to both private and public sector clients. By combining our own maintenance fleet while managing a specialist supply chain to service this contract ensures we are best placed to deliver an outstanding service to Crown Paint and meet their operational needs.

“Mechanical and electrical facilities management is a core strength of Interserve. This contract award is another example of how we are successfully executing our strategy to grow the business with major private sector clients.”
