EUREST AND 14FORTY PARTNER WITH MENTAL HEALTH UK

Workplace caterer Eurest and facilities management service provider, 14forty, have partnered with charity Mental Health UK in a campaign to emphasise the benefits of taking regular breaks at work. This will also raise awareness of mental health issues and fundraise for much needed resources.

The partnership will see Eurest and 14forty’s employees and customers benefit from enhanced mental health policies, initiatives to increase awareness and a wealth of resources such as guides, webinars, and signage.

Over the next year, the companies will donate 5p for every cup sold of their newly revamped ‘Coffee by Eurest’ and ‘Peak St.’ brands to Mental Health UK.

Eurest and 14forty will also host a variety of fundraising activities, including Mental Health UK’s ‘Step by Step’ event. This will see participants challenge themselves to walk distances of their choice and raise money for the charity through sponsorship, while having fun and taking a breather with friends, family or colleagues during their breaks.

To support the campaign, Eurest and 14forty have also created networks of Mental Health Ambassadors to ensure health and wellbeing is embedded at every level of their organisations.

Morag Freathy, Managing Director of the Business & Industry division at Compass Group UK & Ireland (Eurest and 14forty’s parent company), said: “Regular breaks are essential whatever your job. They provide time to de-stress and relax, keep you alert and productive, and support good health and mental wellbeing.

“Partnering with Mental Health UK highlights our dedication to the psychological and emotional wellbeing of employees and customers. With the pandemic still impacting the UK, having access to the charity’s resource and support means we are better equipped to help those affected.”

Eurest and 14forty serve or vend tens of thousands of cups of coffee every week across 700 sites nationwide. The revamped ‘Coffee by Eurest’ and Peak St.’ brands feature three exclusive house roasts and are suitable for any on-site requirements, including vending, self-serve, or barista. Employees will be specially trained to deliver a perfect cup every time.

Katie Legg, Director of Strategy & Partnerships at Mental Health UK, added: “We’re really proud to be working in partnership with Eurest and 14forty, educating colleagues and customers alike about the importance of looking after our mental health. The pandemic has proven to be an especially difficult time for many, so I’m also pleased that this partnership will help raise vital funds to support our services to reach the people who need it most.”

Mental Health UK offers support and information to those affected by mental health problems. The charity supports employers to create a workplace culture that values mental health, allowing for openness and improved wellbeing.
