MEARS AND HAMMERSMITH AND FULHAM RENEW PARTNERSHIP

Mears has been awarded a new contract with Hammersmith and Fulham Council which sees the support services group to the social housing and care sectors continue to be one of the repairs response and void refurbishment contractors for the London borough.

According to Mears, the contract builds on a strong relationship established over the last 12 months, with Mears providing support in interim measures, whilst the authority procured its long-term service.

Mears has been given a set of firm guidelines to work to during recovery from the pandemic to keep residents safe, and adds it will carefully resume works in line with Government guidance and procedures agreed with its clients.

Colin Middlemass, COO at Mears, said: “The pandemic means that we start this contract in a challenging environment, with the added task of demobilising one area and remobilising another. We are confident that, as a result of the foundations we have laid over the last 12months, and by continuing to work together, we will ensure that repairs are carried out safely, and in line with all relevant guidance.

“We look forward to welcoming our new colleagues from the imminent TUPE transfer and, working in partnership, we hope to continue to build on our relationship.”

Mears currently provide services in the north of the Borough and will continue its relationship delivering services in the south.
