The UK is relatively new to the solar industry and so are the installers. With different educational backgrounds, there is a great demand for expert trainings. For manufacturers, it is therefore important that they not only understand the UK customers and their specific needs but also share their solar industry experience with them.
The German system manufacturer, Conergy, has 12 years of experience in design, engineering and installation of solar systems. Their solar experts now share their knowledge within the UK and offer installation companies and trade businesses extensive training opportunities.
Conergy’s training program covers every detail from technical to practical know-how: "Installers come from various different backgrounds – some are from an electrician’s background, for example, others are roofers," explained Christoph Meyn, Senior Training Manager at Conergy. "This is why, it is vital that we offer exactly the training information that is relevant for the professional background of attendees."
In the UK, Conergy currently offers two different training programs. One of which is very hands-on and focuses mainly on installation of the panels and mounting systems, the other one is designed as an in-depth training discussing planning tools and system designs.
Conergy also offers installers the opportunity to visit their production factories in Germany – the Conergy Module Factory in Frankfurt (Oder) and the Mounting Systems Factory in Rangsdorf. Once there, visitors can experience the state of the art production process of the Conergy PowerPlus modules and different mounting systems first hand and find out how Conergy ensures the high quality standards of its products.
