ACIS STUDENT HOUSING REBRANDED AS HOMES FOR STUDENTS

Acis Student Housing, the national student accommodation operator, has rebranded as Homes for Students.

The move follows ongoing research by the company that showed students didn’t associate the Acis brand with finding and booking their accommodation. It needed a name to which students can relate their search, as well as denoting what it offers as an organisation.

Homes for Students will continue to provide a one-stop shop for high quality management services for student residences across the UK and Ireland. It offers a full range of services as part of its student accommodation management including marketing and letting, rent setting and collection, hard and soft FM, energy management, internet and life cycle services, all at a fixed operating price.
The company currently operates schemes in England and Scotland with a number of new properties being added to its portfolio in the coming months in London, Durham and Aberdeen with a secured pipeline of over 5,000 beds; and over 12,000 beds under tender.

Kate Forester, Director of Sales and Marketing, Homes for Students, said: “Our mission has always been to enhance the daily lives of our students in the properties we manage. Both students and clients have given feedback that the Acis Student Housing name doesn’t capture the true values and purpose of the organisation.”

Martin Corbett, managing director, Homes for Students, said: “The rebrand is part of a strategy to expand the direct let portfolio to 20,000 beds over the next few years and using an independent brand will promote this. Rebranding will also help to differentiate direct let from the other markets we are entering including the private rented sector, public private partnerships, interior refurbishment projects and potential overseas joint ventures.”
