ANABAS BAGS TWO INSPIRING LEADERS AWARDS

Two members of Anabas’ senior leadership team have been recognised in the Inspiring Leader 2020 awards.

Managing Director Alistair Craig won his inspiring leadership recognition in the C-suite category, whilst his colleague, Kirsty Gaunt, Learning and Development Manager, was acknowledged in the manager category.

Both demonstrated a commitment to the wellbeing of all Anabas colleagues and their heavy involvement in nurturing the company’s strong team spirit as they steered the company through the pandemic. They are now among two of 55 Inspiring Leaders around the world, recognised from the C-Suite to the frontline.

The Inspiring Leader awards are organised by Inspiring Workplaces and were created to recognise individual excellence, those that contribute to making their business, their community and the world a better place.

2020 was the award’s inaugural year and focused on recognising inspiring leadership during the global pandemic. All entrants were nominated by their peers and the entry had to demonstrate four key qualities that they believe defines an inspiring leader; they are humane, they are courageous, they communicate, and they unleash potential. Winners were announced on Friday 29th January.

Craig said: “It’s an honour to have been put forward by my colleagues and to be recognised as an Inspiring Leader by Inspiring Workplaces. 2020 wasn’t without its challenges but we have a fantastic team here at Anabas and we’ve made great progress together. I’m proud of every member of the Anabas family. You can’t be an Inspiring Leader without the support of an inspiring team around you, so thank you to all my Anabas colleagues.”

Gaunt added: “I am absolutely thrilled to be recognised as an Inspiring Leader. I’m proud to be part of such a people focused company and I’m grateful to have been nominated for this award. Knowing that my work is making a difference means a lot.”
