MACE APPOINTS NEW UK AND EUROPE LEAD FOR FM BUSINESS

Mace, the international consultancy, construction and facilities management company, has appointed Gary Pyle as UK and Europe Regional Lead to drive strategic growth plans for Operate, its facilities management business, across the region.

Gary joined Mace in 2021, as mobilisation lead, supporting Operate in the set up and initiation of facilities management contracts. As Regional Operations Lead, Gary will be responsible for delivering Operate’s target operating model to all clients across the UK and Europe.

Gary has over 17 years of operations experience within the facilities management industry. Prior to joining Mace, he worked as a consultant across facilities and estates, leading on projects and programmes for companies including Mitie and G4S.

Prior to a career in facilities management, Gary was in the British Army.

The appointment comes at a key time of growth for Mace’s Operate business, as it seeks to build on its success in 2021 and strengthen its presence within the European region across the commercial, retail, technology and manufacturing sectors.

Mace’s Operate business manages offices and facilities for clients globally, in sectors like financial services, retail and manufacturing. Operate offers workplace experience and facility management services in the UK & Europe, Asia Pacific, the Americas and the Middle East.

Ross Abbate, CEO for Operate, said: “I am delighted to see Gary step into the role of our new Regional Operations Lead for the UK and Europe. Gary’s experience in the industry has proven invaluable since he joined Mace. His expertise in managing operations and key projects will be a key factor in the continued success and growth of Operate across the region. This is another example of our ability to grow organically and develop our team into strategic roles, globally.”

Gary Pyle, Regional Operations Director for UK and Europe, said: “I am extremely excited by this opportunity to deliver exceptional service and growth for our Operate business. The UK and European FM sector is forecast to grow by more than 3% year on year and the current trend of smart technologies, data insights, and innovative sustainable solutions align extremely well with our strengths and priority objectives. I know we have a fantastic operational team, and I am very much looking forward to working more closely with them.”
